Cheaper than paid: 12.6M organic views at an $0.08 CPM
A budgeting app for couples needed proof that organic social could beat paid. In a 30-day pilot, eight managed accounts delivered 12.6M views at a fraction of their usual cost per thousand.

Impact at a glance
About the client
An app that helps couples split bills, track shared spending and save toward joint goals. Nearly all of its growth came from Meta ads.
Leadership wanted a cheaper acquisition channel in place before their next fundraise.
The challenge
Paid CPMs averaged around $11 and were still climbing. The team had tried posting from the brand account, but finance tips from a logo didn't get watched.
They needed a low-risk test that would show a clear answer within a month.
How we ran it
We scoped a 30-day pilot with a fixed fee and one success metric: cost per thousand views compared with paid. Our team built the personas, produced every post and ran the accounts; the client reviewed results twice a week.
- 01
Money talk, not money tips
Accounts posted real-feeling couple conversations about splitting rent, surprise purchases and saving goals. The app appeared as the way they settled it.
- 02
Eight couples, eight stages
Each account was a different couple at a different stage, from first apartment to first baby, so every viewer could find one that looked like them.
- 03
Double down fast
By the end of week two we moved all volume to the two formats that were working and cut the rest.
The posts that carried it
All three posts that passed 1M views.
We split everything 50/50 until this happened.

What we learned
- 01
Conflict gets watched, resolution gets saved. Openers built on a disagreement held attention; endings that showed how the couple settled it drove saves.
- 02
Couples beat solo accounts. Couple personas drew about twice the shares of single-person accounts in the same niche.
- 03
Cut early. Dropping weak formats in week two did more for results than adding new ones.
